Going, Going...

I suppose I've left you all in suspense long enough.

I bought a ticket to Thailand. One way. I leave on the 27th and, 24 hours later, arrive (very jet lagged, I'm sure) in Bangkok on the 29th. (Yes, it really is the 29th and not the 28th). I will have a day or two in Bangkok, and then I'll meet up with someone from the program, get on a bus (!) and go north to spend a month working with Thai students on improving their English language skills. When school ends in March, I'll either move on to another volunteer program (working in a national park maybe), or come back to the states, or have some other adventure of some sort. I'll let you know how it all goes.

It is very exciting now that the decision is finally made!

There is also a possibility that I will come back to Chicago for the AAM (American Association of Museums) conference in May. But that is still months away and I have only just managed to make a decision about February!

(Just a little bit of symbolism in the photos I've added this time)

Yeah Rebecca!
Looking forward to hearing about your adventures in Thailand. What are the age of your students?

All my best!
